Occupational Testing
Selection

The focus for this is the needs of the organisation i.e.

  • Are they looking for new recruits?
  • What is the best job for the candidate that will yield the best results?
  • Is the candidate suitable/ready for promotion?

Development

Here the focus will be more on the individual i.e.

  • Are you looking to make a career move and unsure what to do?
  • Have you reached a crossroads in your life?
  • Are you unsure what your skills might be?
  • The Company wishes to further staff development, how to make the best use of each individual's skills?
  • Are your looking to find your strengths and weaknesses in order to move into/within the world of work?

Training

Here the focus can be for both organisation and individual i.e.

  • The organisation feels the need to move forward - but what are the actual resources at present?
  • The individual feels the need to move forward and improve on their talents/traits - but what actual are they building on?

Feedback on test results

In order to follow good ethical practise tests need to be administered, scored and interpreted by reliably trained consultants.

Feedback can then be given sensitively and in depth to the individual, helping them see the best way of developing their unique skills.

There is then the opportunity, if being used within an organisation, of giving feedback, which when used with other forms of knowledge gained about individuals' leads to best use of staff resources in order that all can work together, more productively.
